There might be designated days & time slots when Tunnels, Pitching Lanes, Turf areas, or the entire Baseball Turf Facility MIGHT be available for rental.  These spaces MIGHT be available for RENT to Individuals or Small Groups/Teams.  Space is subject to availability — SBA Private Lessons, Group Clinics and SBA Member Workouts take precedence!

Tunnel,  Lane, & Turf Rental Regulations:

  1. Rental Duration:
    • Rentals are available in 30-minute increments only.
    • To book a full hour, clients must book two consecutive 30-minute slots.
  2. Maximum Participants:
    • Hitting Tunnel Rentals: A maximum of 2 individuals per cage is allowed during a rental session. Any athlete 13 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Groups larger than 2 require the booking of additional cages.
    • Pitching Lane Rentals: A maximum of 2 individuals per pitching lane (1 pitcher and 1 catcher). Any athlete 13 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult. For additional participants, clients must reserve extra lanes.
  3. Booking Process:
    • All bookings must be made in advance via the online scheduling platform (Upper Hand).
    • 2-hour minimum notice is required!
    • Walk-ins are not allowed. All rentals must be pre-booked & pre-paid.
  4. Rental Hours:
    • Rentals are available during operational hours, including public rental slots and designated member hours.
    • Hitting Tunnels and Pitching lanes are available only during non-scheduled team sessions, group clinics, and training times.
  5. Cancellation and Rescheduling:
    • Clients must cancel or reschedule at least 8 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee (50% of rental cost).
    • Cancellations made less than 8 hours before the scheduled time will incur a 100% fee.
    • No Shows will not be refunded or made-up.
  6. Equipment Use:
    • Clients are responsible for bringing their own equipment (bats, gloves, etc.).  *Baseballs or Softballs are typically available at the facility.
    • Equipment provided by Smith Baseball Academy (e.g., pitching machines) is included in the rental fee. Any damage to the equipment will result in additional charges.
  7. Live Hitting Sessions:
    • Any live hitting sessions (where a pitcher or machine is actively throwing to the batter) require the batter to wear a batting helmet at all times while hitting.
    • Smith Baseball Academy does not provide helmets for live hitting sessions, so clients must bring their own.
  8. Conduct:
    • All participants must follow facility rules and conduct themselves in a manner that ensures the safety of others.
    • No disruptive or unsafe behavior is allowed. Violations may result in the immediate termination of the rental, with no refund.
  9. Personal Items:
    • Smith Baseball Academy is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items. Clients are encouraged to secure their belongings.
  10. Time Limits:
    • Rentals are limited to the booked time slot. If a session exceeds the designated time, additional fees will be applied, and clients may be asked to vacate the space to allow for the next scheduled rental or training session.
  11. Staff Assistance:
    • Staff assistance is available upon request for machine setup, equipment issues, or facility inquiries.
    • Staff is not permitted to supervise or assist with the activities of rental participants during their session, except for maintenance needs.
  12. Group Rental Special Requests:
  • For groups larger than 2, special requests for team or group rentals must be made in advance to ensure adequate space and availability.
